Does Bank of America charge a fee for electronic funds transfer?
Next-Business-Day ACH transfers: There is a fee of $10 for each Next-Business-Day transfer to an individual or vendor. Same-Business-Day Domestic Wire transfers: For Same-Business-Day domestic (U.S.) transfers, the fee is $25.
EFT is a broad term that describes a variety of electronic payment methods. Two of those methods are ACH transfers and wire transfers. While ACH transfers are usually free but take a couple of days to process, wire transfers are generally quick but may cost a high fee.

Online transfer using an account number and routing number. This lets you easily send money online to someone else's account, and is also a great way to transfer money between your own accounts with Bank of America or at other financial institutions.
EFT: What's the difference? The terms “ACH transfers” and “EFT” are not interchangeable, but they are strongly related. ACH transfers are a type of EFT, and EFTs include ACH transfers but are not limited to them. While wire transfers are processed individually in real time, ACH transfers are settled in batches.
EFTs usually process funds via an automated clearing house (ACH) while wire transfers are sent directly between one bank and another. Wire transfers have the benefit of being faster and having higher transfer limits than EFT methods, but they carry higher fees and are not reversible.

How much is an ACH transfer fee? ACH credit transfer cost: Banks might charge a fee of around $3 for sending money between accounts that you have at different banks, but many offer these so-called external funds transfers for free. There's usually no fee to receive them.

Which bank has no wire transfer fee?
Free wire transfers
Some financial institutions or bank accounts do not charge for domestic wire transfers. Fidelity offers free wire transfers and Charles Schwab waives its wire fee on up to three domestic wire transfers initiated online per quarter for clients with $100,000 or more in household balances.
Ask the Bank to Waive the Fee
Some banks actually have public-facing fee waiving policies depending on the situation. For example, banks like Chase, TD Bank and Bank of America can all opt to waive wire transfer fees for domestic incoming wires if you have an account with them (in good standing).

Three-Business-Day Domestic ACH transfers: Funds will be debited from your Bank of America account on the business day you direct us to initiate processing of the transfer, and typically will be credited to the receiving account on the third business day after the transfer is initiated.
ACH transfers are a bit safer for senders. Unlike most wire transfers, funds can be reversed in cases of fraud or payment error. The criteria for reversals is usually determined by banks. Wire transfers have little disadvantage for the recipient.
ACH transfers take a bit longer to process, but they are usually free or at least low-cost. They're also ideal if you're looking for a convenient way to pay bills from your bank electronically. But if you need the funds to arrive the same day or make a cross-border payment, a wire transfer is likely the best option.
Wire transfers tend to be more expensive than ACH transfers. Within the US, wire transfers typically cost up to $35, while international wire transfers cost between $35 and $50. ACH transfers are often free to send and receive or cost just a few dollars.
By using EFT you eliminate the risks associated with lost, stolen or misdirected checks. With EFT, you will save yourself and your company valuable time. EFT eliminates excess paper and helps you automate your office. EFT is the preferred method of payment!
What is considered an electronic funds transfer?
Electronic funds transfer (EFT) is a transfer of funds is initiated through an electronic terminal, telephone, computer (including on-line banking) or magnetic tape for the purpose of ordering, instructing, or authorizing a financial institution to debit or credit a consumer's account.
Disadvantages of wire transfers
Most banks and financial institutions charge a fee for wire transfers, which can range upwards of $50 per transfer. Domestic wire transfers tend to cost less than international ones, but the fees can add up. Some banks may also charge the recipient an incoming wire transfer fee.

This is often the case with big banks like Bank of America and Chase Bank, which have two routing numbers in some states. Banks also can have separate routing numbers for different types of transactions — one for processing paper checks and another for wire transfers, for example.
